Yes this will fit the bottom rail of the Nighthawk. No, it does not slip on all of the way, as this laser is meant to slide onto the gun itself, not the attached rail system for the scope and flashlight. It does stay in place and work properly. It just doesn't look as streamlined as in pictures showing it installed on the CP99
