 The wolf’s head design on either side of the hammer was one of many fascinating flourishes added to the revolver by the famed 19th Century engraver L.D. Nimschke. This re-creation is exact in every detail, right down to the craftsman’s guide, the letter “P”, which was placed adjacent to the serial number, calling for special handling so this weapon could be plated. The handsome grips offer an intricate eagle and shield design. The checkered patternings on both sides are perfectly restored to cover the area that was blotted out by the personalization plate. The personality of this reproduction is as bold as the character of its original owner.
